TPDF (The Tanzania Peoples Defense Forces) is expanding rapidly due to its collaboration with the UN peacekeeping missions in Congo and the Tanzanian support of Mozambique fighting terrorism on the southern border of Tanzania with Mozambique.

Additionally, Tanzania is developing at a rapid pace, attracting a lot of international investments, such as rigs, new seaports, LNG infrastructure, oil pipelines, and more. All these projects have to be protected by top-of-the-art technologies of surveillance and the ability to strike and eliminate any threats as they come.

• Boarder control – Tanzania is sharing borders with 8 countries (Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Kenya, Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique) that have poaching, illegal fishing and trade, smuggling, drug trafficking, terrorism, and Immigration challenges as they should be approached at any time and any place.

Tanzanian national parks are known as a safe destination for tourists but not as much for the animals that are constantly being killed by illegal Poachers that take advantage of the huge savanna fields of the Tanzanian national parks and the lack of suitable armed vehicles that can solve the mobility challenges on the ground.

Tanzania has constant internal training drills for the military forces, TANAPA (Tanzania National Parks Authority), Police, Immigration forces, and the presidential security units as part of their entities' state defense training operations.

Also since the re-establishment of EAC (East African Community) in 2001, the TPDF started operations in peace support, counterterrorism, counter-piracy, and disaster management missions with international militaries and organizations, to increase their level of professionalism and enhance the cooperation among member states and peacekeeping organizations on military training, application of regional standing operation procedures and providing trainees with knowledge to international humanitarian laws.

The TPDF and the Ministry of Defense are open for training and knowledge transfer collaborations on counterterrorism, counter-piracy, spatial operations, disaster management, and other collaborations with professional entities to strengthen state defense capacity for day-to-day missions and participation in peacekeeping operations.
